La scorsa settimana è andato in scena lo spettacolo dei Game Awards 2021, evento annuale dedicato alla premiazione dei migliori videogame in circolazione e non solo. Giunta alla sua ottava edizione, la cerimonia ideata da Geoff Keighley si è svolta presso il Microsoft Theater di Los Angeles (California) e ha visto premiare 30 vincitori suddivisi in altrettante categorie. Menzione particolare per It Takes Two, videogioco sviluppato da Hazelight Studios che quest’anno ha trionfato in 3 categorie: Game of the year, Best Family e Best Multiplayer. Riferimento obbligato – in chiave eSport – anche a League of Legends, che si aggiudica il premio di Miglior Gioco eSports dell’anno e Miglior Evento eSports con League of Legends World Championship. L’oscar al miglior allenatore esport va a Kim “KKOMA” Jeong-Gyun, guida dei sudcoreani Damwon Kia (DWG KIA), mentre il premio al team eSport del 2021 se lo aggiudica Natus Vincere (dal latino Nato per Vincere), squadra con base in Ucraina che gareggia in svariati videogames tra cui Fortnite, FIFA, Dota 2 e Apex Legends.
